NASP School Psychologist of the Year Award

This award program recognizes excellence in the provision of school psychological services by a field-based practitioner.  Each state is invited to nominate one candidate.  Nomination materials are to be completed by state presidents (or their designees) for NASP-affiliated state associations.  NASP delegates are to complete materials in any non-affiliated state.  Candidates must be current members of NASP and practicing school psychologists who spend the majority of their time providing direct services to students, teachers, and parents.  (Trainers, researchers, and administrators are not eligible for this award).  The NCSP is desired.  An award ceremony takes place at the NASP convention.

NASP Lifetime Achievement Award

This award seeks to recognize a member of the profession who has devoted his or her professional life to the improvement of the profession.  Each state association is invited to nominate one outstanding candidate for this  prestigious national award.  Nomination materials are to be completed by  state presidents (or their designees) for NASP-affiliated state associations.  NASP delegates are to complete materials in any non-affiliated state.  Candidates must be current members of NASP who are school psychology practitioners, trainers, supervisors, administrators, state consultants, or researchers  and have made major local, state, and national contributions.  Nominees must  have demonstrated at least twenty-five years of service to the field, and have  been a member of NASP for at least twenty years, and have ten or more years of service in NASP Leadership.  Candidates may be retired.  The award may be presented posthumously.  Possession of the NCSP is desired but not required.  The award is presented at the NASP annual convention.  Questions?  Please contact Candace Dee, candace.dee@gmail.com.
