Exhibits
In the exhibit hall, see and enjoy all the new products and services the exhibitors have brought to the NASP convention.
Making the Most of the Exhibit Hall
Many convention attendees may find trade shows confusing and overwhelming. They think about how many exhibitors there are to visit and are afraid of running short of time. The following list offers a strategy for getting as much as possible out of your time in the exhibit hall. Because walking the hall can be tiring, be sure to pack comfortable shoes and clothing, and remember to bring a light carry-all bag for accumulated materials.
1. Review the Exhibitor Handbook (found in your registration packet) before the exhibit hall opens.
2. Look at the floor plan in the program, and prioritize the exhibitors you most want to see, one row at a time.
3. Identify “must see” and “want to see” exhibitors and those whom you can just scan your exhibit hall information card for and/or pick up information from if there is not enough time to visit individual booths.
4. Skip overcrowded booths, and plan to come back at the end of the day or on Friday, when traffic is lighter.
5. Remember, the exhibit hall will be open for 2.5 days; don’t rush through the hall on opening day and miss some excellent opportunities to network. Take your time on Thursday and Friday to enjoy all the exhibits.
6. Scan your exhibit hall information card to provide your contact information at the booths of all vendors exhibiting products or services in which you are interested. This will enable vendors to follow up with you after the convention to keep you informed of valuable information about their products and services. Your scan card will contain all of the contact information you provide on your convention registration form. Do not scan your card if you do not want to share your contact information at the booths of exhibitors from whom you don’t want to hear after the convention.
7. Remember that exhibitors spend time and money to bring you the products and services you need. Be considerate about giveaways; take only items that will benefit you—and only one per person, please!
8. Be sure to thank exhibitors for taking part in the NASP exhibition and let them know how glad you are that they participated.
Children
To ensure children’s safety, and because of insurance constraints and fire marshal regulations, children under the age of 16 must be closely accompanied by an adult in the exhibit area at all times. This NASP policy will be strictly enforced.
