NASP Convention Hotels: Boston Marriott Copley Place, Sheraton Boston, and Westin Copley Place

The NASP 2009 Annual Convention will be hosted by the Boston Marriott Copley Place (headquarters hotel), Sheraton Boston, and Westin Copley Place, all centrally located in the heart of Boston’s historic Back Bay, with dozens of attractions, myriad restaurants, the scenic Charles River, and famous Newbury Street within easy walking distance. The hotels offer convenient, indoor sky-bridge connection to each other and the Prudential Center and Copley Place malls, with more than 200 stores.

The NASP convention exhibit hall, featured and special sessions, reviewed presentations, and Convention Career Service will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. All NASP Convention Workshops, and certain meetings and special events will be held at the Sheraton Boston. Certain meetings and special events also will be held at the Westin Copley Place.

New This Year - You Must Register Before Making Your Hotel Reservations!

Please note that, new this year, individuals must register for the convention before gaining access to NASP’s specially discounted sleeping rooms, which will be made available to convention attendees only through the NASP Housing Center. This will help ensure the availability of hotel rooms for all registered convention attendees. Reservations made through the hotels directly will not be entitled to NASP’s discounted rates.

Reservation Procedures

NASP has secured specially discounted blocks of rooms at the Boston Marriott Copley Place and the Sheraton Boston. Rooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis through the NASP Housing Center. Hotel reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card or check for a one-night deposit. The Sheraton Boston charges a $50 early departure fee.

To mail or fax reservations, please use the downloadable NASP Housing Request Form.

All housing reservations must be received by the NASP Housing Center no later than January 28, 2009. We strongly encourage you to make your reservations early. Housing requests received after January 28, 2009, will be processed on a space-available basis and may be subject to a higher rate.

Reservations will be confirmed within 3 to 5 business days of receiving your reservation. If you have not received your housing confirmation within this time, please contact the NASP Housing Center, (800) 811-5947 or (703) 449-6418. Special requests will be honored whenever possible, but cannot be guaranteed; the hotels will assign specific rooms upon check-in, based on availability.

Cancellation and Change Policy

On or before January 28, 2009, you may cancel or make changes to your reservation in writing or online. Written requests should be sent to the NASP Housing Center and will be acknowledged with a confirmation within 5 business days. To change or cancel your reservation online, you will need your confirmation number and the e-mail address used to make your reservation. Online requests are acknowledged with an immediate e-mail confirmation.

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so before 12:00 a.m., Eastern time, Wednesday, January 28, 2009. If you do not cancel your hotel reservation before that time, or if you fail to check in on your confirmed arrival date, your first night’s deposit plus tax will not be refunded. This means that the hotel will keep the deposit after Wednesday, January 28, 2009.

The Boston Marriott Copley Place meets all the needs of convention attendees. Recently renovated guest rooms boast numerous amenities, including Marriott’s crisp new cotton bedding package, 27-inch televisions, high-speed Internet access, complimentary coffee and tea service, and personal refrigerators. All sleeping rooms are nonsmoking. Dining options include three restaurants, a cocktail lounge, coffee bar, and 24-hour room service. The hotel also offers wireless Internet access in the restaurants and lobby, an indoor pool, health club, business center, gift shop, car rental desk, tour desk, and valet service. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

The Sheraton Boston’s beautifully appointed guest rooms include the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bedding packages. Sleeping rooms also have flat-screen televisions and in-room coffeemakers stocked with Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea. High-speed Internet access, refrigerators, and microwave ovens are available upon request, for a fee. All sleeping rooms are nonsmoking. Dining options include two restaurants and the full-service Starbucks Cafe in The Link @ Sheraton, a complimentary Internet lounge in the hotel lobby with free wireless Internet access, board games, and flat panel televisions. The hotel’s full-service fitness center is equipped with the latest technology, including cardio equipment with individual LCD televisions. The Westin Copley Place, winner of the AAA Four Diamond Award, offers first-class amenities including an on-site fitness center with indoor heated pool, whirlpool, and spa services; business center; salon; gift shop; 24-hour room service; and on-site car rental service. All guest rooms are nonsmoking and include the Heavenly Bed sleeping package; marble Heavenly Bath, with dual showerheads and a signature line of Westin toiletries; a coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee; hair dryer; cable television, safe, and high-speed Internet access (for a fee). Dining options include Turner Fisheries Restaurant, the Palm Restaurant, the Huntington, and Osushi. The hotel also has a Starbucks and Bar 10, which was voted Best Hotel Bar by Boston Magazine.
